Oscar Predictions

Domani martedì 2 febbraio scatterà l'ora X: verranno annunciate le attesissime nominations al premio cinematografico più importante, prestigioso e chiacchierato del mondo: l'Oscar o Academy Award che dir si voglia.
Quest'anno la grande novità riguarda la categoria Miglior film: saranno infatti ben dieci (e non più cinque) le pellicole che si contenderanno tale premio, come fu agli albori dell'Oscar (nel periodo 1932-44 infatti erano in gara dieci opere, e in alcuni casi addirittura dodici).
Segno che l'Academy vuole ampliare il suo sguardo ed il suo interesse, anche se alla fine il vincitore sarà comunque uno solo.
Sicuramente in seguito all'esclusione, l'anno scorso, de "Il cavaliere oscuro", che tante polemiche suscitò (giustamente), gli addetti ai lavori hanno ben pensato di allargare il range ed includere pellicole che potrebbero attrarre maggiormente l'appeal del grande pubblico e contemporaneamente rispettare i canoni ed i gusti della giuria.
Insomma, più chance per tutti: a parer mio, anche se può apparire una scelta di facciata, non può far che bene alla visibilità dei film e, perché no, sperare che la scelta finale non sia scontata come negli anni passati.
